Due to additional cases of COVID-19 in Wisconsin and throughout the United States and following the announcement this week from UW-La Crosse to cancel classes and dismiss students, as a precautionary measure Shakespeare from the Ground is postponing its production of Ides of March: Julius Caesar.

The second performance from the group had been scheduled for Tuesday, March 24th at Pearl Street Brewery in La Crosse. You could say Shakespeare from the Ground is being wary of the Ides of March, but they plan to reschedule this performance as quickly as the situation allows. Planning is already underway for July’s performance of Comedy of Errors and a performance in October of Much Ado About Nothing in solidarity with six of the country’s leading Oldschool Shakespeare companies who are doing a national relay tour together (

Tickets for the Singles Shakespeare Social event planned prior to the show, will be refunded. Visit to stay up-to-date on any new developments as they become available.
